Dhan Bahadur Tamang
Namaste, I’m Dhan Bahadur Tamang, born in Solukhumbu district, Nepal under the breathtaking Everest region. Growing up surrounded by mountains, I spent my childhood exploring the hills, playing by the river with animals, and embracing the beauty of nature.
My journey in trekking began in 1998 as kitchen staff. I steadily progressed, taking on roles as a porter, kitchen helper, and assistant guide. By 2003, I was guiding trekkers, particularly Japanese clients, and soon expanded my expertise to adventurers from all over the world, including Spain, Britain, Germany, and the United States.
My climbing career took off in 2007 when I summited Island Peak as an assistant climber. Since then, I have scaled several peaks under 7000m, such as Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, and Dhampus Peak.
My extensive trekking experience covers numerous iconic regions, including Tibet, Langtang, Pikey Peak, the Everest region, the lower Everest region, Annapurna, the Dhaulagiri Circuit, and Kanchenjunga, among others.
Not just a skilled guide, I’m also exceptional at organizing treks. I believe that my friendly nature, leadership skills, and teamwork make me an outstanding guide. I’m dedicated to ensuring his clients’ safety and enjoyment, communicating fluently in English, Japanese, Hindi, Nepali, and Tibetan.
My commitment extends beyond the mountains; I also have been involved in non-profit social work since 2011, contributing to my community and making a significant impact both on and off the trails.
